Easter 2014!

Easter was so much fun this year.  It was a beautiful weekend, and we got to spend a lot of time with friends and family.  Payton really enjoyed the Easter egg hunts, and of course loved getting all the chocolate that goes along with them.  Little Elin is close to 6 months old, so she enjoyed the swing on grandma and grandpa's back porch and napping in the sun. :)   It was nice, because Payton is actually old enough to understand the real meaning behind Easter a little more this year.  We colored Easter eggs on Good Friday, which she really enjoyed, and Payton put cross stickers on some of her Easter eggs.  We used this time to explain what the cross was about, (in 3 year old terms) and she seemed to comprehend most of what we were teaching.  I always think kids take in and learn way more than we give them credit for, especially at this age!

I never want to wish time to pass, but next year will be fun to watch both of the girls get to participate in these activities together.  Elin is becoming much more aware of her surroundings, and Payton and her have been interacting and playing much more together.  It makes me smile to think of all the fun times that lie ahead of them! :)
